Adding by 9 by Subtracting 1

A Great way to start Learning to Add by 9 is to go over Subtracting by 1.

If you Make 9 into a 10, all you need to do is take away 1 from the Other Addend, (Example: 10 + 5 could be written:

10 + (5-1) or 10 + 4 which, of course = 14.
